I know that a lot of you had questions left over from the original post that you didn’t have a chance to ask… so now is your time to get the answers you want!
As those of you who have been in contact with me over email or instant messenger already know, I love to talk and teach about everything business. I feel that the best way to learn something is to hear from someone who’s been there, so I am going to try my best to give you the best answers and information possible. Everyone who asks a question before I start up with the answer post will get a response, that’s my guarantee. Anyway, question time.
Being a PR 4 blog and having so many subscribers/visitors a day, I was wondering what strategies you use to get the word out about your website here. I may be wrong, but I don’t think I’ve seen a post here about advertising your site (again, I may be wrong and just have missed it). I’ve been wondering about this because I’ve been noticing a very slight decrease over time in the number of unique visitors per day on my (PR 4) site.

Here is one that can help newbies that they might not think to ask:
How do you handle tracking for incentivized promotions? Meaning, if you were to give away a free item (ebook, text link, box of raisins, whatever…) for every person that signs up for a promotion using your link, how do you know that they are the ones that signed up without them having to email confirmations to you? (hint: looking for you to explain tracking subid’s to newbies)
Also, I understand that you might not want to link to my website because of the non family friendly content, perhaps we can work out another form of comp if that is one of the top questions.

Jim, since you’re into stocks and mutual funds, I know that you’re have some favoritism for those types of investment vehicles. (I remember this from when I submitted a guest post here on why I thought index funds were better than mutual funds). So here’s my question:
Do you think that the “buy and hold” rationale for investing in stocks is really just a “buy, hold, and PRAY” mentality for the majority of stock investors and, ultimately, a recipe (for making money) that fails due to investors’ lack of knowledge about stocks and the companies in which they’re investing?

My question is about blogging, if a high PR site sends you an email saying high much they like your content and that they have added you to their blogrol. They don’t ask for a link back. They just emailed because they want to verify the anchor. Is there some ediquette or blog manners regarding offering a link back?
