Its a college bowl weekend this go-around. That means you get a bonus 3 picks on college games! Lets rock.
We did well last week, 2/3 games gets us in the money every time. Lets continue the streak this week on a six-game set, three NFL and three NCAA games. Keep in mind that these lines are adjusted as of this posting.
NCAA Game 1: Boston College Golden Eagles (-5.5)
The Golden Eagles ended their 2007 season by losing two games and dropping the ACC title after being ranked as high as 2nd in the nation. The Michigan State Spartans closed out their season in a comeback victory over the Penn State. But luck is reversed in this game, as BC shows how they earned a 10-3 record. BC is 10-0 out of conference and the Spartans can’t seem to win in December (2-5).
NCAA Game 2: Penn State Nittany Lions (-5.5)
The Nittany Lions wreaked havoc in the ‘99 Alamo Bowl against the Aggies, routing them 24-0. This time shouldn’t be much different. Penn Staters are hungry for a win after an ugly finish of the regular season, defensive stars Sean Lee and Dan Conner should have their way with the A&M front line in this one. I hit on a third of my bets last week. Don’t blame me here, a lost wager is not a bad wager. Lets go play that probability card once more!
Time to make up some ground on my deficit last week, and I can’t think of a better way than by scoring big on what is a “do-or-die” week in pro football. So, without further ado… lets get to it!
Game #1 - Cleveland Browns (-3)
If the Browns can’t beat the 5-9 Cincinnati Bengals on the road, they might as well kiss their unlikely playoff run goodbye. Last time these teams played, there were a whopping 96 points scored as the Browns emerged victorious. This time around, the Browns actually think they are talented, and need this win to get into the AFC wild card. Look for a big game out of Jamal Lewis as the Browns roll.
Game #2 - New York Giants (-3)
Okay, you got me, I am a Giants fan and wouldn’t tell you otherwise. However, you cannot ignore this amazing point spread giving that this is literally Big Blue’s Read the rest of this entry »

Hey there net fools, lets have a look at some of the more exciting match-ups this week in the NFL that are giving us favorable spreads
As you know, both wild-card races in the AFC and NFC are airtight at this point. And while Denver’s loss to the Houston Texans last night helped out the AFC picture a bit, things are still pretty crowded in both divisions as the fight for that coveted 2nd wild-card spot continues.
Game #1 - Baltimore Ravens (-4)
Ho boy, I am seeing some magic with the Baltimore Ravens playing on the road against the fierce Miami Dolphins squad. You have to wonder why the spread on this game is only four points. Sure, everyone hates on the Ravens now because they couldn’t pull out the win over New England and got absolutely stomped last week, but they’ve got their weapons (hello running game?) and a defense to match. They haven’t put out a team yet this season, expect that to happen in week 15.
Game #2 - Tennessee Titans (-4)
Do you see what I see? A playoff eligible Titans team Read the rest of this entry »

Week 10, NFL action. It’s the second-half push toward the playoffs, with lots of division play, lets get started…
First the NFC, some great match-ups here, obviously highlighted in a clash between two of the arguably best in the NFL, yes I’m talking about the Dallas Cowboys (7-1) at the New York Giants (6-2). This game will determine who sits on top of the NFC East, and will be a real test for a Giants team who has faced a losing bunch in its past 4-5 games. I see the Giants coming out firing with an early score, but eventually they will be playing from behind in the forth quarter. Being a Giants fan myself, it’s hard to call this a loss… so I’ll sit here and hope for the best in a down-to-the-wire game. The Philadelphia Eagles (3-5) play on the road against rival Washington Redskins (5-3). I see the Eagles eeking out a win in a game that they honestly need a whole lot more than the Skins. In the NFC North, look for the Green Bay Packers (7-1) to be
upset by 6-point underdogs, the Minnesota Vikings (3-5)… oh and Adrian Peterson. With even odds, the Detroit Lions (6-2) rule the airways and defeat the Arizona Cardinals (3-5) on the road.
The Chicago Bears (3-5) square off against a 4-straight-loss Oakland Raiders (2-6)…and LOSE! Shocking, but you saw it coming a mile away. Division rivals Carolina Panthers (4-4) and Atlanta Falcons (2-6) dance at Panthers’ stadium. No surprises here, Panthers push above .500 on the year in a low-scoring win. Saint Louis Rams (0-8) almost shouldn’t be mentioned here. They fail to get it done on the road against a surging New Orleans Saints (4-4) team. And we cap off the NFC with a not-so-interesting debockle of the San Francisco 49ers (2-6) by the lowly Seattle Seahawks (4-4) on a Monday Night Football showdown. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s Thursday night and time for this weeks sports picks! We are halfway through the NFL schedule and also have many interesting NCAA Football games in the balance. Will Ohio State stay number one? Will the Rams pick up a win? And how about the Colorado Rockies?!
Let’s start it off in the NFL. Interesting match-ups, lets have a look. Cleveland Browns at St. Louis Rams should turn out to be the Rams first win of the season. The Browns may not be as bad as we thought they were when the season started, but the Rams have been so heavily denied that you gotta think they will break out soon; this is that week. The Detroit Lions could have some trouble with the staunch Chicago Bears defense on the road, but I see them rolling through this. Chicago could cause turnover problems, but I think they will miss opportunities as the Lions turn up the heat. The Indianapolis Colts shouldn’t have much trouble at all eating the Carolina Panthers alive this week on the road. With the first international game of the season, I see the New York Giants dominating the 0-7 Miami Dolphins on both ends of the field in London, rolling to a healthy 6-2. The 7.5 favorite Tennessee Titans should have plenty of trouble with the Oakland Raiders at home this week. Look for Oakland to at least cover the spread on this one. The Philadelphia Eagles get a much needed win over the Minnesota Vikings on the road this week. McNabb steps it up in the pocket and makes up for the Adrian Peterson factor. The Pittsburgh Steelers are only favored by 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals? You gotta be kidding me. Steelers blow this spread away three-fold. NY Jets get their second win of the season at home against the Buffalo Bills when Lee Evans cannot produce a second-straight stellar performance and L. Coles takes over. No betting line yet on the Houston Texans v. San Diego Chargers or the Jacksonville Jaguars v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers games. Any while the Chargers wrap up the Texans with a classic L.T. show, the Bucs will stun Jaguar fans Read the rest of this entry »
