About
Welcome to TheNetFool.com. This is Jim Regan, owner of JRR Enterprises LLC. and the administrator of this website. I wanted to set this page aside to get you guys a bit more info about myself and this popular “make money online” blog.
The Blog’s Founding… In Brief
I’m an 19 year old student of Finance at Penn State University, and started blogging when I first arrived at college in October of 2007. Initially, the blog was set to be more of a resource website than anything else… but after seeing some solid feedback, I have decided to turn my gaze upwards. To answer your question: yes, I DO in fact make money online. The amount I make largely being a function of how much I work. As this online money-making lifestyle is not at all priority number one (as it is for many of my fellow marketers)… I don’t pull too much revenue, although my gains are consistent and I am fully confident I could make a living here. Currently, I try to post every day, and am an active recruiter of RSS subscribers.
Why The Stock Market?
A lot of people wonder why and how I am interested in two very different subjects: the stock market and making money online. I am currently in my second year in serving on the Nittany Lion Fund LLC. at The Pennsylvania State University. This is a student-run mutual fund, and one of the biggest in the nation with over $3.5 million in assets (down from $5 million+ before the market crashed). Additionally, it is the ONLY such mutual fund that deals with real investor money… not school money or paper trading. I’ve been
fortunate enough to be elected into a leadership role on the fund, currently overseeing about $350,000 as the head fund manager in the Industrial Sector.
In this sense, I feel that I come from a very different background than most of my “make money online” colleagues. My eyes are turned to Wall Street, and the possibility of making markets or helping to manage wealth. I’m the guy that sets his alarm an hour before my 8am class so I can read the Wall Street Journal and be prepared before classes start. I love talking about the markets, so feel free to contact me with any questions or investing ideas you might have.
If you are interested in the stock market, or maybe would like some free research reports from professionally-minded people, I am the owner of increasingly popular community Bullish Bankers LLC., based theough our website at BullishBankers.com.
So What About Making Money Online?
On the “work at home” / “make money online” front, I have always been a bit of an entrepreneur. I actually intended to just make this a stock market blog, but I then realized that I just loved creating wealth too much to pass up an opportunity to help other people get rich. Knowing this, I have owned a web hosting and design company, and am active in several more general endeavors to turn profit through the internet. I believe that the field of making money online is cluttered with people that don’t know what they are doing. So let the stock investor show you how markets really work!
You can see all of the operations that happen through my online conglomerate, of which I am the owner and president, at JRR-Enterprises.com. This should give you a good idea of my current portfolio… though only reveal my deepest cash-generation secrets on theNetFool.com.
Non-Business Related Chatter
In my spare time, I run long-distance (former cross country runner), lift weights and participate in intramural sports. I’d consider myself a n intermediate guitarist and musician (also play clarinet and sing).
Additionally, I am in a few student organizations, and like to stay concerntrated on my classwork as well. I don’t have a lot of free time with all of this… so I compensate with less sleep and more caffeine.
Make no mistake about it, I’m here to make money and make you rich. You should be able to learn a lot by following along, and hopefully we can all grow in knowledge together. If you have any questions or comments, please drop me a line through the contact page. I typically respond within 1-3 hours since I check my email often.
